When the Gerber Edge was first introduced in 1993, Doug Goodloe wrote a spreadsheet based on workflow and validated formulas with time tests. Then in 1994 a runtime version was created and sold. Over 700 companies purchased that version. This web based version was released in 2021. It is based on the same workflow principles with many additional features not available in previous versions.

Doug and his colleagues have over 60 years of experience as Gerber Specialists instructing end users on workflow, best practices, materials, and adhesives for the digital spot color system known as the Gerber Edge PCS system. Doug and his peers want to provide businesses with a tool to quickly estimate, archive, retrieve, and update quotes.

The Gerber Edge system is very capable but has a unique workflow, unlike process color printing. We believe businesses deserve a way to look at the costs and production time required before the job is accepted.
